Didn't win EEFF

But I'm happier with Forgiving Your P.E. Teacher than I would've been if I'd made either
of the winners.  I guess that's a good thing.

Smart guy with good taste but very clear about how little chance a
very low budget film has of getting a theatrical release, or any cash
from tv or DVD. Did confirm that 2 ideas I had were good.
1. Weekend working will get better Cast n Crew than a 5 (and prob 3 or
4) week block.
2. If there is at least one person (actor or celebrity) that people
have heard of, at least distributors will watch it.
So, I'm shooting almost every weekend from... July? And does anyone
reading this know anyone (world?) famous well enough to ask them to
spend a day (or 2) having fun appearing in (ir)resistible?

equipment

having some problems putting together my matte box (chrosziel cwah 169) bars/support (indirails pro) follow focus (d|focus) and nikon lenses.  It's all a bit compromised!  I think I'm going to buy some more on lens NDs and try to avoid having to use the matte box.  At the moment, changing lenses is not going to be a very smooth process. Should be able to test that on Sunday though, me and Ben are probably going to shoot some teaser material.

trying to write a treatment

I'm meeting some guys through EEFF this week for 1 on 1 "surgeries" & tomorrow is the script development one with Jon Croker.  They need a treatment so I'd better write something for him to operate on.

Screening went great

The screening of fypet (Forgiving Your P.E. Teacher*) at eeff went great. Thanks to everyone who came along. I still enjoy watching it, is that sick and self-indulgent?
*note to self - any long title will get shortened somehow at some point so instead - keep it short!

best film award nominee

Nice! Forgiving your PE teacher has been nominated as EEFF Best UK Short Film. Looking forward to the deflation at the awards on Friday when I don't win... Fortunately no-one I know will be there as apparently there's no room for guests.

unrehearsed reading

1st reading of scenes from Irresistible on 12th April at the writer's group "off the page" at it's new location: Ealing Studios in The Met Film School. http://www.meetup.com/Offthepage
Some great suggestions but generally it went great.  Lots of laughs and everyone seemed to want to know what happened next.
Various possible titles judged by those present, as "Irresistible" has been used several times, one of them recently.  No copyright on titles but better for marketing if it's somewhat unique. I'm now happiest with (ir)resistible".

New blog

Thought I should document how I make "(ir)resistible", my first feature film.
1. To clarify my thoughts.
2. As an educational tool (how not to do it?)
3. As a way of promoting the film to make sure it actually gets seen once it's finished.
